Kit Vote
I have always thought there is reason to be vaguely suspicious of democracy and today I got some proof. In their infinite wisdom, my club Ipswich Town has decided that it would be a great idea to have an online vote as to which kit the team should wear next season. Now I have no problem with this idea in theory, however in practice it is entirely flawed on two very important counts.
Firstly, Suffolk folk have not the least idea what constitutes decent fashion sense. Secondly, an online vote is not limited simply to Town fans, meaning that our friends up the road in Norfolk can swing the voting. Now in some ways I can’t blame them – we’d do the same – however when you end up with a pinstripe effort which looks like it came out of the early seventies the joke has probably gone a bit too far.
No wonder we’re stuck in the Championship when we can’t even conduct choosing a new kit successfully! You can take a look at the cutting edge design here.
